When the world’s ash has powdered your lips
with her decaying remains, cleanse them in mine.
As the spacious sea of darkness enshrouds your
cemented soul, let my hands chisel and warm
your heart from the intoxicating cold.

When isolation teases and clips your wings,
freefall into my star-glazed eyes,
and soak in the grazing Dreams;
sprinkling across your face
like newborn snow.

This piece came to me in a forgotten dream but it burned passionately enough to wake me and urge me to write it down.

Above is a revision that I created after allowing music and my mind to meld back into the essence of the piece. The original is as follows:

When the world's ash has powdered your lips,
cleanse them in mine.
As the darkness enshrouds your cemented soul
let my warm hands chisel
your heart from the overwhelming cold.

When isolation has clipped your wings,
freefall into my star-glazed eyes,
and soak in the grazing dreams
sprinkling across your face
like newborn snow.

~I've found that there must be always balance. With so many conflicting thoughts such as in my previous journals, I figured it was time for a rose amongst your winter storms.

To twist one purest cause
Into an honest verse,
Itself, a call to angels.
The saddened lips of song that
Kiss away our innocence
From the vile mundane.

Doom arigato gozaimashita!

Looking back, it feels like a mirror image to my make believe piece.

Either way, thank you for the kind words!

Amazing, beautiful and elegant. A stunning piece that pulled me in from the very first sentence with its stunning imagery and strength. I love how the imagery rolls through very different textures almost through a circle, from the soft ash to chiselled stone to soft snow again. Again, beautiful piece, well worth reading several times over :)

I absolutely fell in love with this. It flows well, and conveys a very warm and hopeful sense.

Just what I needed right now; you know why.
