Praying to the fog, Leaning into the darkness awaiting the sunlight; held and mended together by the bonds of action without the whispers of affection. Old love displayed through the warmth of action, drips of sweat over mechanical churning, silent meals, and then stories as words began to trickle into vocabulary. Steady hands repairing the faults, guiding, searching for the decay and flowing into renewed life. Familial steps into crevices, and then canyons until only the void exists between the father and son as the parted steps echo into years. Words pierce blindly through the void, muted, flowing into the dark pools as the years pass. Determination falters, over the rigid edges of hatred’s hands as the lake fills. Eyes to the sky the color of grain, Rivers of sweat through dirt and grime- flowing ‘round hollow veins. Within their depths mere reflections, of decay and sparks from the pickaxe ringing through the slipping day. A fly-buzzing and ensnared- in The spider’s web nearby. Feeble attempts within the spider’s amused gaze. Wings beating and beating, pulling the web more tightly like the skeleton fingers of a rib cage, closing around the frantic heart. Be The Better Person You Seek

There will be days that you'll face broken promises, cheaters, liars, and being on both sides of a shattered heart.  In the end, you can only command the changes in your life that allow you to ultimately be a better person.  However selfish this path may seem, those you have in your life must respect and accept this choice. Some will fall off your path, and others may despise you for your choices.  You can't allow this sadness to consume you.  You can't allow your fear of unhappiness to guide you.  Acceptance is key as there will be many more to join your cause through the thick of life. This path will be lonely at first.  Every first step

Trust and Truth are two very fragile concepts.  In my life, I have seen them tortured to extents that makes my flesh cringe.  It has been my absolute and devoted friend that tells me the worst and the best of any situation.  Still, I find its whispering voice muddled by so many desperate factions that even I begin to doubt.  And in the end, above all else -happiness, pain, suffering included-it Must be known, and maintained.
